*killua and gon are exploring the halls again, testing the handle of each door as they go. killua's riding the new skateboard he got from alluka, cruising along without paying much attention to where he's going. when the next door he tries opens up, he zooms in without a second thought, calling excitedly back to gon.*

hey, gon! i found one!

*he turns around to view it with a triumphant grin that quickly falls from his face when he takes in the familiar ballet studio and realizes that he's been here before. he turns around to try and stop gon from entering, but he's too late.*

w-wait, don't come in here--!

[Gon and Killua have returned back to the familiar grind of door-hunting. They've been at it for an hour or so, heading down a somewhat familiar path. It's when Killua calls out to him that his phantom cat ears perk up. He's immediately on the scene, sneaking in behind Killua.

Suddenly, Gon's whole world flips on its head as he changes perspectives. Suddenly seeming a bit too forward he steps back, and nearly trips off his skateboard.]

What's going on here? [He asks, but realizes his voice is too deep. It sounds just like Killua's. He looks at the mirror against the wall and realizes his eyes are coming from not himself, but his best friend. Gon puts his hand on his chest, feeling the seam of Killua's baggy gray shirt.]

Killua, are you okay?! [He looks behind him to see himself standing there, not Killua, and it's utterly jarring.]

dammit!

*killua's curse comes in gon's higher voice as he's teleported into his friend's body before he can stop him. he glances at the mirror wall and sees that they have indeed swapped places, finding himself looking up at his own face from his now shorter viewpoint.*

hold on, i know how to fix this.

*he turns back to the door gon just stepped through, taking an unsteady step toward it before it slams shut right in his face. an uncharacteristically exasperated groan roars from the small body he's trapped in.*

of course. figured it out too quickly this time, huh?

[Once the complete and utter confusion subsides and he realizes what's going on, a low, disbelieving giggle makes its way to "Killua's" lips. Clearly, "Gon" had been through this all before. The curse sounds strange in his voice as he almost never uses them.

He notices something else, too. His body--the original one--is much shorter. Is this really what Killua sees when he looks at me? Gon thinks, slightly self conscious.

His amusement is cut short when the door slams shut on them. Panicking, he runs over.]

Hey, we're not gonna be stuck like this, are we..?

*killua lets out a frustrated sigh, sinking his shoulders and making him look even smaller.*

we will until we can get out that door. but who knows how long that'll take.

*he looks around the room, finding little to catch his interest in the empty, mirror-paneled room.*

last time i got stuck here, i swapped with kurapika. *he sticks his tongue out.* it was awful.

[Was it vain to think his shrinking clone was adorable? He never thought he'd see Killua so small! The more he tries to look cool in Gon's body, the cuter he looks. No wonder people liked talking down to him so much! He seemed so harmless.

Suddenly, it dawns on him that he's in his lover's body. He puts his hands on his chest, then the ridges below, then his stomach, then his sharply jutting hips, a cattish smirk on his face at the opportunity to touch him. Suddenly he realizes Killua could be watching him and takes his hands off, embarrassed.]

Kurapika? What was that like? You didn't like being way taller?

it's not about his height, it's his-- hey, hands off the merchandise!

*his face heats up at the sight of his doppelganger roaming his hands down his front, gon's heart pumping powerfully in his chest to color his cheeks. it occurs to him only now that gon would have an interest in touching his body while he had the chance -- he'd sure loved doing it when they were recently lying naked on top of each other. his own fingers twitch, wondering how gon's would feel from the inside. but he banishes the thought, shaking his head.*

seriously, gon...

Sorry, sorry, I just got excited, I guess..

[He returns his hands to his sides. Seeing it as an opportunity to act cool like Killua, Gon tucks his hands into his pockets, hiding away the kitty claws. He wonders if he could make them or if he should even try.

Wanting to try on Killua's boots, Gon takes to teasing him. It's okay if it's aimed at himself anyway, right?]

You're so tiny, Killua, that I could roll you up in a futon and completely lose you.

[He strolls up to him and gives him a hard poke on the forehead.]

Stuuu~pid. [He can't stop himself from giggling at hearing the insult in Killua's own voice. It really is like some crazy magic trick. He wonders what else he can do in this body?]

*killua twists gon’s face into a disgruntled pout as he’s teased. he tries to swat his hand away but finds that hs reflexes are slower in this body.*

you’re the stupid one, stupid!

*the insult comes out more whiny than menacing in gon’s voice, and he huffsin frustration as he darts around his own leering body to hop back on his skateboard, glad he’d given gon some lessons so he doesn’t immediately topple off it as he rolls away.*

[He never thought he'd hear the word uttered in his own voice that way. He mainly used it to refer to himself, not other people. But he supposes it was earned. It wasn't very often he got the chance to torment his precious partner the way he tormented him at times. Gon follows his hot-tempered friend around, noting that his steps were much faster due to his combined height and reflexes. He supposed something like the rhythm echo would be easy with such an agile and well-trained body. Walking in his own body feels like wading through an invisible mud in comparison.]

What about the way out? Don't you wanna try and figure it out together?

[He looks at his hand, trying to tense it up to unsheathe the kitty claws as he stays behind Killua, following him like a lost stray. It doesn't immediately work, however.]

Hey, how do you do that thing? That...thing that makes your nails sharp.

*killua shrugs, then throws his arms out to his sides as the motion throws him off balance. he’s still not quite used to his new center of gravity yet.*

nah. it’ll let us out whenever it’s done messing with us.

*he kicks his leg out to stop the board, turning to gon, who’s been tailing him the whole time on killua’s own silent steps. he supposes even having another person in his body couldn’t make it unlearn the muscle memories that have been trained into it. therefore…*

you should still be able to do it… let me see.

*he holds out his hand for gon’s.*

[Gon grabs his hand and steps onto the board, a little wobbly because he's not used to the extra weight. He kicks off the back and starts rolling in a circle, getting the hang of it immediately. Next, he tries an Ollie, propelling himself up into the air with his board.

He almost falls off but manages to keep himself upright, hoping Killua's impressed with his memory.]

Hey, this isn't the same skateboard. Where'd you get it? I mean, where did I get it?

*killua glowers as gon steals the board back and takes it for a spin, glad at least to see that he remembers the tricks he taught him. he probably only pulls them off so well because he’s in killua’s more skilled body, though.*

it was a christmas present from MY sister. cut the “i” crap, you’re still you and i’m still me.

*he gives frustrated hmph and holds his hand out again.*

do you wanna see those claws or not?

Okay, okay, fiiine. I won't joke around about that. It seems important to you.

[He gets off the board and returns it to Killua, not wanting to overstay his welcome.]

Yeah, I do. [Gon reaches his hand out.] I always was interested in how you do this. You make it look really easy..

*killua stores his board safely underfoot as he take’s gon’s hand in his, pausing to marvel at the novelty of feeling his own intimately familiar slender fingers curling in his palm. in gon’s hands, they feel so delicate.*

i’ll show you a trick my brother used to use back when he was teaching me.

*he takes one of gon’s bony fingers and runs his thumb up its length until it meets the nail, squeezing gently to stimulate the muscles that will eject his claw.*

[Gon watches carefully as Killua presses against his middle finger, forcibly extending his nail into a veiny claw. Gon lifts it up to inspect it, turning his hand around in front of his face with only one finger sticking out.]

Do you ever extend one just to flip people off?

[He gives his hand back to Killua, curious.]

*that gets a laugh out of killua, or rather out of gon’s body, because it comes out as his melodic giggle.*

only my brother’s had that honor.

*he pushes out the next claw and the next, impressed that his body is still able to do it on reflex without him inside it.*

Hahaha! You really did that to your brother? I bet he did something really rotten, didn't he?

[Out of curiosity, Gon tries it with his next finger and ends up cutting his other hand when it shoots out. A thin, clean red line parts his skin, slowly leaking thick drops of blood.]

Ah, damn it..! Well, at least I can actually do it.. [The swear sounds a lot better in Killua's voice, he thinks.]

*one of killua's signature mischievous grins crosses gon's face and he sighs dreamily, almost wistful for that long-passed moment of rebellion.*

i didn't leave the dungeon for days.

*he's shocked back to attention when the scent of blood cuts into his nostrils before even the sight.*

hey!

*he grabs and squeezes gon's hand tight to try and stop the flow of blood, but a couple of drops still spill out onto the floor between them.*

be careful, that's my body you're messing up...

*gon's freaky dog nose continues to sniff at the blood against killua's will, triggering some weird feral instinct that must be embedded somewhere in the meat of his brain. slowly he uncovers the bleeding hand and ducks in to lap up the escaping blood before pulling back with a tongue-out face of disgust.*

[Gon stares on in disbelief as his doppelganger slurps up the trail of blood. It might have been his body, but it was Killua, and he was licking his wound. Gon is overcome by heat and the claws retract themselves, not wanting to hurt him on accident.

Killua's face is plagued by a horrible, noticeable blush.]

H-hey, that's my mouth! Y-you're not being real careful with my body, either. L-listen, there's some stuff we can use in my bag to patch this up..

*oh. the bag. he hadn't even thought to check it. instead he looks at the streak of blood on gon's hand, striking against his pale skin, and gives it another cleansing lick before shuddering.*

it's not my fault if your body wants to do things to mine.

*his own words hit him and he gulps, blood trickling down his throat as it rises in his face.*

wait...

[If your body wants to do things to mine. He wasn't wrong. Killua's body, too, was heating up, and he finds himself placing his hands on the smaller boy's shoulders.]

Killua..

[An odd curiosity befell him, a dark thirst for blood of his own. He leans in, stealing the iron taste of his lover off his own lips. He never thought such a thing could be so exciting!

Gon never hated the taste of his own blood, so getting to lick Killua's gives him a perverse thrill that he didn't know he was capable of. He laps the blood of the boy's tongue before pulling back and wiping his mouth with Killua's sleeve.]

It's kind of..weirdly sweet.

*killua is taken off guard by the kiss, alarmed and disturbed to see his own face leaning in so close, feel his own lips kissing him. his stomach twists with an uncomfortable heat as he licks his tongue across them and tastes the combination of his own spit and blood. he'd never noticed it when he was in a body full of it, but gon's discerning tastebuds do pick up a distinct sweetness beneath the metallic tang.*

...you're right. and i...

*he grasps the turtleneck of gon's shirt, yanking him down for an open-mouthed kiss to give him a better taste. he grins impishly when he pulls back, licking his lips again.*

...have a sweet tooth.

So how does it feel, kissing yourself? [He can't help it, he has to giggle at the absurdity of the situation. He's never wanted to keep kissing himself so badly. One might say he's becoming a narcissist.]

Because I love kissing me as long as it's really you. I could do it all day. [He snakes his hands around the little boy's waist, his heart squeezing up at just how small he is. He could probably pick him up.

Gon hoists Killua into the air, meeting him in another kiss. He notices just how much stronger Killua is, able to lift himself as easily as a teacup.]

*killua squawks in gon's squeal of a voice as he's scooped off his feet, indignant at how easily he's able to be manhandled in this body. he wraps his legs around gon's hips to give himself some sort of control over the situation, finding his thighs to be unexpectedly strong, locking their bodies tightly together.*

it feels weird.

*he glowers at his own smug face, heart clamoring uncontrollably in his chest as he surges forward to kiss it again.*

but i can't stop.

[Gon's surprised at his own leg strength, his hips tightly pinned between a pair of muscular thighs.]

I don't want to stop. Not with you.

[He carries Killua over to the edge of the dance studio and presses his back into the wall firmly, holding both his hands and pinning them to either side of his head.]
