concert venue (sfw)

[enchanting_melody]

*after hearing about the concert room from kalluto, melody goes out to find it, her keen ears leading her to the subtle buzzing of speakers and amps emanating from behind the newly-unlocked door. when she opens it, she finds the venue vacant, apparently between shows. the house lights are on low, illuminating the great, empty pit yawning out before the stage up ahead. she wanders over to it, climbing the steps and peeking around the eaves to find that all the instruments are still there, just waiting to be picked up and played when the lights fade.

she reaches out to give an acoustic guitar a strum, closing her eyes to revel in the lovely sound of it reverberating through the venue.*

*Kurapika wanders restlessly, feet moving almost of their own accord as he thinks. His mind is full of thoughts about Pairo and the odd situation they find themselves in. He’s just confessed his confused feelings for his friend in an attempt to distract him from the terrible truth he’s circling closer and closer to, like a little boat careening towards a maelstrom. He’s still not sure if it was the right decision.

Somewhere down the hall, he hears the distant, distinctive sound of a guitar being plucked at. It makes him immediately think of his musical friend, and he decides to follow the gentle echo until he’s standing outside of a door he hasn’t seen before. He turns the knob, and is surprised to see a large, empty room with a stage covered with instruments at the very front. It’s there he spots Melody, making wonderful sounds with her talented hands. He crosses his arms over his chest and smiles.*
