[Sfw or Nsfw] Pokemon room

Hey, Killua! I wanna show you this really cool room I found! But first, it's going to be pretty far. I have an idea, though! Why don't we use your skateboards?

[So they did -- Now they're coasting down the hallway, Gon on Killua's old skateboard and Killua on his new one, and the only sound is the drone of wheels rolling underfoot. It's a bit boring, staring at the same ground for a long time, but when they spot the outstretched door Gon leads the way all the way down to it.]

Now, before you go in, you're gonna wanna close your eyes and take a deep breath or you'll get really dizzy!

[He enters the door and is met with a stone room lit by torches. The exit is obscured by a waterfall. Gon takes one look at Killua and smiles before leaping through the waterfall, coming out a Rockruff on the other side.]

Come on out! I wanna see what you turn into!

Only sleep? [He sighs with relief and bumps his nose against Killua's.] That's good. That'll teach us to be careful, I guess. Should we keep going?

[He orients himself toward the path they had been aiming for.]

I'm much more ready this time!

[devil_or_angle]

yeah, i think i'm good. *he yawns again, then gives his whole body a thorough shake, tail lashing back and forth with renewed energy.* let's go!

[gonmorow]

[Satisfied by the apparent return of his partner's energy, Gon starts walking. Little paws displace twigs and grass, making more sound than he thought.]

By the way, you're really cute like this. And you sleep like an angel, heheh!

tch, so you just watched me sleep? *killua scoffs, but he can imagine he did look pretty cute, curled up like one of the kittens in the cat room. he blushes at the thought of gon seeing him like that, prone and vulnerable. embarrassed, he gives him a bap on the nose.* you're still a stupid dog!

[gonmorow]

Yeah, a stupid dog that's in love, that is.

[His ears flush warm and he giggles.]

What kind of challenge do you think we'll run into next? I know we can handle it together! Because it's you I'm doing this with.

[devil_or_angle]

c'mon, don't just say things like that, dummy. *killua blushes even more, his tail lashing back and forth like it does when he's flustered in the cat room.* maybe we can find something stronger to fight next... or...

*his ear suddenly twitches, picking up the sound of approaching footfalls. whatever it is, it sounds much bigger than their last opponent. immediately he comes up with a plan to give them the advantage, nudging gon toward the bushes beside them.*

quick, let's hide and ambush it!

[gonmorow]

[Gon notices his tail lashing and a knowing smile appears on his face. Killua made the cutest cat he's ever seen.

When he hears footsteps, Gon initially braces himself to take it head on before Killua suggests hiding. It was definitely a better tactic, he decides as he takes his position. The footsteps are even closer now, like the source is just behind a couple trees.]

*killua jumps into the bushes with gon, crouched in preparation to pounce when the moment's right. but when their enemy finally emerges from the trees, he turns to gon with a panicked look.*

it's a human!

[gonmorow]

A..human?!? Is someone else in this room?

[He peeks, and sure enough, there they are. A trainer who he doesn't recognize. Fear and excitement pumps through his veins. Gon turns to Killua and whispers.]

What should we do? Still wanna go through with the ambush? Or do you think they'd help us?

[devil_or_angle]

*killua's fur stands on end, alarm coursing through his blood as the human stops in their path and looks around, clearly sensing their presence. their face is blurred, indicating they're not a real person from the airship but a part of the room. killua pushes gon further back into the bushes, hissing,*

they probably want to catch us! we should just make a break for it--

*an unintelligible shout rings out through the air, and in a flash of light another pokémon appears -- one which resembles a menacing black hellhound with curved horns adorning its head. upon materializing, it charges straight for the bushes.*

--shit!

[gonmorow]

[Gon stumbles back, losing his footing. The loud noises just past the bushes send his heart pounding and he turns around, making a run for it.

However, being fully evolved, the hound is much faster than the baby Pokémon, quickly gaining on them. It catches up to Gon and leans down, chomping down on his back leg and forcing out a strangled yelp at the horrific sting. In too much pain to move from his spot, Gon just barely holds himself up, on the edge of fainting. He weakly ejects rocks at the bigger dog in self defense but they don't seem to scratch it almost at all. The only thing he succeeds in is making it even madder than before. Was going in here a mistake?]

Grrraaaaaggghhh, get away, Killua! It's leagues stronger than us!

[It swoops in, its sharp teeth coming down on him like a serrated guillotine. Gon hurts his throat screaming as blood pours down his leg and side, badly mangled by the bigger dog. The pain is enough to make him pass out.

When the trainer comes through the bushes, they chuck a pink, yellow and blue ball at him and, in a flash of light, he's pulled into the ball. It shakes twice, then makes a small confirmation sound. The trainer seems excited, stuffing the ball away in their bag.]

*faced with a much-too-powerful opponent, killua once again is overtaken by the voice of illumi in his head commanding him to keep running mechanically onward. but the scent of gon's hot blood gushing out melts the ice in killua's veins, plunging him into burning terror.*

gon!

*he whips around, but the trainer has already captured his friend, confining him to a tiny sphere in their bag. he wants to fight back, but after seeing what the hellhound did to him, he can't imagine he'll be able to do anything but get caught as well. and so, he's forced to follow illumi's advice.*

dammit!

*while the trainer is distracted praising their pokémon for the capture, killua takes off down the path and darts into the underbrush, praying the hellhound won't be able to follow. he has to come up with a plan to free gon from the trainer's ball or he'll be stuck in this room forever!*

[After kneeling in the grass and praising his Houndoom with an adorable pink pokepuff, the trainer stands up and departs back to the place where he'd set up camp.

On the ride over, Gon slowly comes to inside of the ball, his eyes opening to a light metal interior. He paws at the smooth, perfectly rounded walls, wondering where he is and why there's no exit. Just as he begins to grow distraught again, a flash of light surrounds him and suddenly he's outside, at a camp with other Pokemon. He looks around anxiously and finds Killua isn't there, panicking. It was probably a good thing he wasn't there.


Meanwhile, somewhere else, a wild sylveon runs between the bushes with a fainted Dedenne in its mouth. It's returning to its territory when it smells something else in the air, like new Pokemon it didn't recognize. Being careful enough not to make too much sound, it follows the scent, wanting to make sure nobody was causing trouble.

*hiding in the underbrush, killua doubles back and starts to track the trainer to their camp, following their scent along the forest floor. at some point the path is intercepted by another scent, the sweet, pleasant aroma of another pokémon. lifting his head, he scans his surrounding with narrowed eyes, wondering if it's hostile.*

who's there?

[gonmorow]

[The sylveon appears from the bushes in a battle-ready position, her ribbons floating in the air around her apprehensively. The intruder seemed weak, but she doesn't let her guard down.

"I should be asking that question, because this is my territory. What are you doing here?"]

[Meanwhile, at the base camp, the trainer hovers over gon. "Your name is Baked Beans." He declares, to Gon's confusion. "It's time to eat."

Handed a bowl of...something dry and hard, Gon looks at it anxiously. "Does he really expect me to eat dog food?" Gon thinks. But he's hungry again and there's nothing else to eat...for him, anyway. As he reluctantly bites the crunchy food, he watches that big, scary hound get fed delicious looking, colorful treats and can't help feeling jealous. He couldn't just turn it down, however, because all he had eaten earlier were berries.

When he gets a mouthful of food, Gon promptly spits it back into his bowl, realizing it tastes old. Ewwww, he'd much rather eat more berries! Some dogs had it rough.]

*killua squares up, digging his paws into the ground in preparation to charge himself with electricity if the stranger attacks. instead, she speaks a warning. he lowers his hackles, still on guard but presenting submission, star-tail held low.*

i'm just looking for my friend. a trainer caught him. i was following their trail and it led me through here.

[gonmorow]

[At the baby Pokemon's explanation, the Sylveon lowers her guard and wears an expression of concern, standing normally and slowly approaching.]

"That's troubling. I'm strong enough to face most trainers, so let me help. Trainers often set up camps around here. I know of one that's close, and it might be the one you're looking for."]

[Gon doesn't eat much. He doesn't have much energy left to use his rocks, either, so an escape plan seemed too risky. The big Houndoom snarls at him, making his fur stand on end as he remembers what it did to him.

"Alright, Baked Beans. It's training time."]

*killua nods, grateful for the assistance. this pokémon is... strange, with its eerie blue eyes and quivering tendrils, but it seems he can trust it. he'll do whatever he has to do to save gon.*

lead the way.

[gonmorow]

[Gon furrows his brows at the trainer.]

My name isn't Baked Beans! It's Gon, you big, stupid meanie!

[He barks in protest, digging the ground. The trainer scoffs at him.

"You better cooperate, or you're going back in the ball." He says. The Houndoom barks at him angrily, startling him into silence. Gon looks down, just biding his time until he can leave.]

[The Sylveon begins on her shortcut through the underbrush, making sure Killua's behind her.

"By the way, I'm Moon. Do you have a name?"]

*killua darts after the pink pokémon, hoping she's taking him in the right direction.*

i'm killua. *he bites his lip, stopping himself from divulging that he's actually a human. he wouldn't want to make her distrust him right when he's about to get help.* my friend's name is gon.

[gonmorow]

[Thus starts their training drills. Gon is pitted up against a different monster this time, a dark blue turtle with fins on its head and a tail that resembles rolling waves. Thinking he can easily take it on, he dives in headfirst only to find that his attacks do nothing. Conversely, it sends pulses of water at him that knock him down fast! How could water be so painful? Gon lasts a little longer through sheer will, but not much.

After he faints, the trainer feeds him a little crystal and sprays an orange potion on gon's injuries and most of his health comes back. Then, Gon's thrusted right back into battle, this time against a green four-legged creature with a seeded neck and leaves on its head. It swings its leaf to whips up razors that he's able to dodge effectively. Instead of using his rocks, he tackles it head on, making it tumble across the grass.

Upon impact, the creature releases a purple, powdery substance. "Not again!" Gon thinks as he accidentally inhales a lot of it. The Chikorita gives him a smug look as it hops backwards and sends more razors flying at him while he's distracted coughing. "Did it just poison me?" Before he can decide, he's hit with yet another super-effective attack that makes him yelp, his legs cut up by the razors. The trainer praises the other creature, while giving Gon a thumbs down.

"Boo, Baked Beans, you suck!"

The poison whittles down his health and he finds himself seeing double, woozily tottering around as his stomach churns.]

[Meanwhile, Moon reaches a path and follows the fresh scent of the trainer down it.

"Nice to meet you! I hope we can get your friend out safely."

*killua follows his new acquaintance to a clearing where a tent and campfire are set up. a couple different pokémon are milling around, which all look unfamiliar to him but tough. squinting again, he focuses his energy into his eyes like he's using gyo, and suddenly he can see through the tent to the scene on the other side. he spots gon wobbling on his paws, looking injured and sick like he's taken a rough beating. killua's body tenses with rage and determination, fur raising with static.*

he's here! *he hisses to the pink pokémon beside him.* but i can take them all on by myself... i' like to sneak in and grab him, but we'll need a distraction.

[gonmorow]

["That can be arranged." Moon says with a smile as she leaps up onto a tree to get a good vantage point of the camp. She watches a sick rockruff fall over and narrows her big, blue eyes, wondering if that was the Gon they were looking for. In any case, the trainer pockets him away in a Pokeball and goes back to his tent where he sets it down on a pillow.

"I doubt I'm ever using this one." the trainer scoffs, leaving it there and returning to his other pokemon.

Meanwhile, Gon sleeps.

"Is Gon a Rockruff by any chance?" Moon asks, looking down to Killua.]

*killua watches gon be put back into his pokéball, then looks up at moon in the tree above him.*

i... think so. *he tells her anxiously.* he was just put away. if you can get the trainer out of the tent, i'll run and grab the ball.

[gonmorow]

["I can do that. I'll run through the camp and try to catch the trainer's attention. Let's do this."

[Moon watches the Pokemon move and waits until they're in the perfect position for her to cause a commotion. She leaps out of hiding and heads into the camp, passing all the Pokemon on her way to the trainer's tent. Hearing his Pokemon starting to call and growl, the trainer appears out of the tent and leaves it open.

"A sylveon! I have to get it! Houndoom, come on!" He shouts, running after her. She expertly weaves around him and the Houndoom's attacks and leads him away from the tent.

While Gon's fainted, he has a nightmare about being covered in sticky, poisonous pollen that he can't get off of his body or out of his nose no matter how much he tries. In his dream, he finds himself throwing up blood and, due to the nature of dreams, he's under the impression that he's really dying. What will he say to Mito and Killua? He can't die!]
